The Emmanuel Book Club meets the first Monday of the month from September to May in the church lounge. Meetings start at 7:00 p.m. with refreshments followed by a discussion of the book at 7:30 p.m. They enjoy current fiction with a balance between Canadian and international authors. They attempt to look for images of God in the books chosen and to learn more about our world through literature.

The Emmanuel Quilting Group has continued to operate during the time away from home base at Emmanuel. We work in the lower hall at St. Aiden`s on Tuesdays – our hours are 10:30 to 3:30. New members are always welcome. Drop by if you would like to see a ``work in progress`` or if you would like to try out this activity.

We work on a variety of projects – donations for Victoria Quilts (an organization supplying quilts to cancer patients), banners for the church and fundraising for Revitalization).

For further information contact Joan Foster-Jones.

The Emmanuel Senior Choir is made up of approximately 35 dedicated people who meet on Thursday evenings for practice, and sing at the Sunday morning services. They enjoy being together as a community and adding to the Worship services. There are special evenings for Hymn sings and sometimes just for fun - such as the Cabaret night once a year when they raise money to help the with youth trips for Habitat builds

The Emmanubells are a mixed-aged group who play four and a half octaves (plus an F3) of Malmark handbells and three octaves of Malmark choir chimes. They rehearse Thursday evenings between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm and play in church approximately every four weeks. They participate in the biennial festival of the Ontario Guild of English Handbell Ringers and occasionally perform in the community. New members are welcome, but an ability to read music is strongly suggested. For more information, contact the Handbell Choir Director Ann Frederking
